First time it's happened in 30+ years but it was a very strange depo.

Attorney/videographer stopped me mid-swearing in and says I need to do my spiel.    He had a teeny handheld video camera with a big mic in front of the witness.  Nothing professional at all, and I was shocked he was employed by the law firm.    He says "tape 1 Depo of XXX"   ...that's it...no ordinary spiel like we usually hear.

He then says counsel state your appearances.   2 counsel state their apperanace and then one launches into how inappropriate it is for counsel to be taking a depo of her own neighbors, how inappropriate it is for the video dude to be working and employed with the law firm (as a baby lawyer).  Wait...gets better...

Then a security guard interjects himself into the proceedings suggesting he'll throw out the atty objecting if he doesn't behave, security guard will end the depo, etc etc.  I was so surprised that anyone let the ..or a...security guard go on and on...then more objectiions, then the taking atty starts objecting to the objections.

Long and short of it, she launches into questions, and somehow in the back of my mind because I got the witness to raise her right hand ...I'd actually sworn her when I hadn't.     Depo ends, everyone leaves  and the videographer says to me  "I don't think you swore in the witness."    Great...I realize i was interrupted mid swearing in and this guy doesn't mention it til the end and everyone has left?

Now....what to do?  Knowing everyone's very hostile in this case....hell...one of the attys got roughed up.
